Welcome to your tenth week at the Curda IT Cafe. We are really moving
along in this course. Everyone should have received feedback from me
on your first 2 article analyses. Overall, I received a great set of
analyses. The majority of you did an excellent job on this
task/assignment.
I hope some of you were able to use the feedback to improve on your next 2 analyses or (if you got a great score - as many of you did) to feel more confident going into the final 2. I will say I was very pleased with everyone's first attempts at analyzing research. This is a challenging task on many different levels and I really think you all have grown tremendously in your ability to recognize, read, and evaluate empirical research. I hope that this is a skill that will serve you well throughout your program. I am looking forward to reading your final 2 article analyses this week. You should begin working on your final synthesis. Please let me know if you have any questions related to your final synthesis. It is due in 2 weeks. This week we will continue to discuss current issues in various settings in which IT professionals are employed. I hope this will give you some insight into possible worlds in which you could find yourself once you graduate (unless you already know). Please note that we have another early bird special this week for those interested in earning a few extra points. As a reminder, I have posted the synthesis form you will use for the final part of your research project. The synthesis is not due for two more weeks. |
